Our Practice is a mixed billing practice.

What does mixed billing mean?

Some appointments will have an out-of-pocket fee also known as a GAP payment, and some consults may be eligible to be bulk billed.

Payment:

For any service that is not funded by Medicare, the doctor will advise you of the fee before the service is provided.

We accept payment via Cash or Eftpos and an immediate Medicare rebate is accessible through our payment system.

Full payment is required at the time of consultation. The gap between your Medicare rebate and the consultation charge is the OUT OF POCKET amount. Our on the spot processing will put the Medicare rebate back into the bank account right away.

Billing Policy:

• The Fee is based on time and complexity of the consult
• Payment is expected at the time of consult
• Can pay using a debit or Visa/credit card, however Medicare will only reimburse the rebate immediately back using a debit card, It cannot be refunded using our system onto a visa/credit card or apple pay.

Medicare will process overnight the refund if using the payment other than debit card.

Vaccines

Most childhood vaccination and influenza vaccines are provided free if you are eligible through Medicare. We will notify you if there is a fee for the vaccine.

There will be fees for travel vaccinations, as these are not funded by Medicare.

How to check your Medicare rebate details:

If you are unsure of where your Medicare rebate is sent, or need to update your banking details with Medicare, please find below avenues to update or check your details:

1. Online via www.mygov.com.au (through ‘linking’ access to Medicare)
2. Via the Medicare App
3. Via Phone at Ph: 132 011 (24 hour access)
4. At a local Medicare Service Centre in person

Cancellation Policy:

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and have not called to notify of your non-attendance, then a cancellation fee of $40.00 may be charged.
